Field Lessons
Builds on skills learned in the Basic Course
You will learn the lessons used by the Pros - especially techniques to help your dog through problem areas such as; getting your dog past and beyond heavy scents and other hazards in order to get the bird, how to gain control of your dog around birds, and other problems hunters encounter with their dogs.
You will learn the best exercises for your dog to mark the bird.
You will teach your dog to take a line and how to accomplish single, double, and multiple retrieves. You will learn how to set up marking patterns. There are many lessons on how to arrange your helpers in the field as well as how your helpers can help the dog.
Many more valuable lessons are taught throughout the course on water work, blind retrieves, and more!
This course is carefully planned to give you solutions to problems such as:
- Gun Shyness
- Breaking when the gun goes off
- Refusing the water
- Carrying a line, and more!
The ultimate teamwork you'll learn is handling your dog from a distance. Your dog will learn to believe in you as you direct him to the bird.
This is an all-year program and can be a family project. Your dog will end up with a purpose, and you will know what bonding really means.
